Chuck Umeh, P.E., Project Director, is a distinguished Professional Engineer and industry leader with over 25 years of experience in instrumentation, control systems, engineering technologies, and project execution across the Oil, Gas, and Energy sectors. At Iron Crest, he brings this extensive engineering and management experience to the marine ecosystem, providing technical and strategic leadership for complex projects, including the company's eFMS deployment for NLNG's Akwa-Ibom operations.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology with an emphasis in Control Systems and a Master's Degree in Microcomputer Systems from the University of Houston, Texas, USA. His technical expertise spans Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), Fire and Gas Systems (FGS), SCADA, instrumentation, automation, and process control.
Throughout his career, Chuck has held senior engineering and management positions, including Lead Engineer, Research & Development Manager, and Projects General Manager. His experience encompasses the full lifecycle of engineering projects, with extensive international exposure across Africa, Europe, South America, and North America.
As Project Director, he provides technical direction, project leadership, and strategic oversight, ensuring that engineering solutions are translated into reliable, efficient, and practical project outcomes. His combination of deep technical expertise, international project experience, and leadership capability makes him a key member of Iron Crest's core management team.
